Hurricane Colin

Sunday, August 22, 2010

Mom decided to upgrade me from tropical storm to hurricane. I just discovered how much fun it is to take stuff out of baskets, bags, closets, etc. I don't know why they make all the toys they do. All I need is some dirty clothes and a laundry basket and I am good to go for hours!

Not Much Has Changed In 30 Years!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

First of all, thanks mom for taking the time to post a new blog. It's only been like 3 weeks!

Since I've been able to pull myself up on things I've become a very curious boy. And since I LOVE pulling open drawers and opening cabinets, mom has had to start installing safety locks on everything. These are the type of locks that grandma and grandpa used for her 30 some years ago...and with the exception of a couple of features...they are pretty much the same. Mommy sure does feel bad that her mommy and daddy had to spend all that time installing theirs because she quickly found out how "fun" and "easy" they are to install. I'm not sure what words mommy used during the nearly 1 hour it took to install 4, but I can't imagine they were very nice. Anyway, I will be sure to put those locks to good use and figure out how to bypass them in no time flat.
Love ya mom.

9 Month Old Today!

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Can you believe how fast time flies? I'm getting closer to being a year old every single day. I've had a busy day today. I had a doctors appointment which went awesome. I'm doing great and the doctor told mommy that he was very impressed by how she takes care of me. Good job mom. Then we went to the Little Gym. Again, I did awesome. Then I just ran some errands with mommy. It's been a great day, but mostly because I've got to hang out with mom. She has had to work all week so I haven't seen her much, but today was well worth the wait.

We Went To Idaho!

Sunday, July 25, 2010

This weekend me and mommy and daddy went to Idaho to visit nana and papa. When I wasn't sucking on my feet, I was crying. I made sure mom had a pleasant 6-8 hour drive! We took a detour to Sun Valley since mommy had never been there before. It was pretty cool. We didn't do much other than walk around, but it was nice to be somewhere new (and out of the car). Then we just hung out at papa's all weekend. We spent a lot of time in the pool and we went to a bbq contest/music festival at Ann Morrison Park. It was HOT!!! But we had a lot of fun. Unfortunately mom and dad are ol' fuddy duddies and we didn't get to stay for The Backstreet Boys and Bret Michaels. Geez guys...why would you want to miss them??

Summer Fun

Monday, July 19, 2010

So, this first picture is one my mom took while I was sleeping. She thought it was way too cute not to post. I'm told she used to sleep this way too, so I'm in good company. The other pictures are of the kiddie pool mommy bought for me this weekend. It was so fun to play in the water with my toys in the yucky heat. Don't worry though...the water wasn't freezing. Mom filled up a couple of buckets with hot water so that the water would be just the perfect temperature for me. Love you mom!

My First Swim Class!

Sunday, July 11, 2010

Yesterday was the very first time I went swimming. Mommy signed me up for swim lessons so I could get used to the water and love it as much as her. Since I''m teething and I have never been immersed in cold water, I wasn't very happy about the whole experience. After a while though I got used to the water and started to splash and play with toys. I floated on my belly and on my back. Mommy was very proud of how well I did. Next week she is going to learn how to get my head underwater. I'm not sure how excited I am about that, but it will be a good thing to learn.

I'm 8 Months Old Today!

Monday, July 5, 2010

Today is my 8th month birthday and daddy took us to Snowbird for the weekend. I took the tram up to the top of the mountain (11000 feet) and we took a bunch of pictures. Mommy rode the alpine slide (Park City's is better) and the zip line and daddy just pushed me up and down the mountain. During our 4th of July weekend I also starting saying "dada" and I'm starting to get my first tooth. This makes mommy really sad because I am starting to become such a big boy!
