Until Next Year

Monday, December 24, 2012

Well, Phillip made it back from Idaho and today is his last day with us for the year. I can't believe how fast the last 24 days went. It was so much fun having him around and seeing Colin so happy at all the little things he got into. I know we have had a lot of fun with him this year and hopefully everyone else did too.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Sunday, December 23, 2012

Phillip was very excited to see that Nana and Papa had quite the rock wall to climb. Like Colin, he is a natural born climber. Colin has eyes like an eagle. He spotted Phillip right away.

Where's Phillip?

Saturday, December 22, 2012

Phillip found the game table and fit in pretty good with the little red men. Colin actually found him right away, but was more interested in playing the game than having his picture taken.

Idaho Bound

Friday, December 21, 2012

This morning as we were getting ready to go to Boise to see Nana and Papa, we found a little stow-away in our luggage. Oh the fun that Phillip will be able to get into when we get there!

A Utah Elf Am I

Thursday, December 20, 2012

I knew there was a reason we loved Phillip so much. Nothing better than a UTAH elf. Colin however I think was a little disappointed that Phillip didn't do anything more extravagant. Mom and dad were please though!

Spa Day

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

Phillip enjoyed an evening with the girls last night. Mani-pedi's, facials, hair and make-up. He seemed to really enjoy himself and got caught up on all the latest gossip. Colin was so excited to see Barbie. He couldn't figure out where she had been for the last several days. He wanted to make sure her hair was nice and puffy. Just like Utah hair should be!

Gone Fishin

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

Phillip decided to take a break from his antics and just kick back and relax with some fishing. I'm not sure what bait he used but he caught a pretty big fish. Colin was more interested in getting the fish back into their box so that HE could eat them. We had a few tears over the fact he couldn't have the fish Phillip caught, but after we dangled a piece of chocolate in front of him, he took the bait!

Green Eggs and...Milk?

Monday, December 17, 2012

This morning when we went to get some milk out of the fridge, we found Phillip snuggled up in his little wrap with a big grin on his face over the fact he turned out milk green. That darned little elf! He knows that mom won't use that milk now. Good thing Colin and daddy will drink it.

Making A List

Sunday, December 16, 2012

Phillip was busy last night cutting up all the magazines so that he could ask his boss for a few Christmas gifts. Colin put in his request to Santa this morning for some chocolate and a kitchen.

Stringing Up The Lights

Saturday, December 15, 2012

Poor Phillip. I know he was only trying to do something nice for our family by putting up some more lights around the house, but unfortunately he got a little too careless. Colin started to worry about him but was quickly distracted by all the pretty lights.

You Give An Elf A Marker...

Friday, December 14, 2012

I tell ya, never leave markers out around the house. Little mischievous elves might snatch them up and edit your family portraits. Colin got a kick out of it this morning. He couldn't stop giggling at how funny Phillip made everyone look

Operation Elf Takedown

Thursday, December 13, 2012

I'm not sure what Phillip has been up to during his off time, but apparently it has upset some people. I was really surprised to see how closely guarded he was this morning. Colin thought he could help by knocking down each army man and throwing them off the chair. As a side note, this was the second setup thanks to a stupid cat who likes to chew on plastic army figures.

Toilet Paper Roller Coaster

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Last night Phillip decided to get adventurous and make himself a little roller coaster. I thought I heard laughing in the middle of the night, so I'm pretty sure he was having a good time. Colin was very concerned about Phillip and kept asking him if he was ok. I'm glad to know Colin is concerned with the elf's well-being!

Better Than Willy Wonka

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

I'm really surprised that Phillip didn't end up with a stomach ache this morning. He ate so much leftover Halloween candy, not to mention my chocolate covered marshmallow Santa. Yes, that's right...left over Halloween candy.

Even Colin gave him a scolding.

Our Little Picasso

Monday, December 10, 2012

This morning Colin woke up to see that Phillip had been coloring in his coloring book. He was actually really excited about that and joined in quickly. He was very careful to color around Phillip until mom had a chance to get the tongs and move him again.

Lego Land

Sunday, December 9, 2012

Last night while Colin stayed over at his grandma's house, Phillip went downstairs and brought up his Lego blocks. When Colin got home the first thing he did was start to build Phillip into a little fort. We ended up having to move Phillip with a pair of tongs so Colin could continue his building.

Pearly Whites

Saturday, December 8, 2012

I'm really glad that Phillip has good hygiene but he needs to work on how big of a mess he makes. Colin was so excited to find Phillip this morning and actually even more excited to brush his own teeth. I sure hope that novelty doesn't wear off for him!

Royal Flush

Friday, December 7, 2012

Last night Phillip decided to invite some of his friends over for a little game of poker. By the looks of it the stakes were pretty high. And I'm not sure how he pulled it off but Phillip got a royal flush. I sure hope he wasn't playing with elf magic. Colin even wanted in on the game but I told him he was too young and to just steal a piece of candy. He was down with that!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Thursday, December 6, 2012

This morning Phillip got into Colin's car collection and started lining them all up. When Colin realized that Phillip had been playing with his toys we had a bit of a melt down. So in order to restore peace, Phillip decided to magically move to one of the shelves on the bookcase.

Bubbles Bubbles Everywhere

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

Phillip was feeling much better today and decided to wash the sickies away with a nice warm bath. Grandpa was over when Colin went looking for Phillip and was so excited to show him where he found his little elf.

Tis the Tissue Season

Tuesday, December 4, 2012

Poor Phillip. I guess he has been spending too much time around me and caught my cold. I sure hope he starts to feel better soon. Maybe a good brushing of his teeth from Colin will help speed things along.

They Wrote A Book About Me?

Monday, December 3, 2012

Phillip was fascinated to realize he is actually the topic of a very well known book and decided to forgo the hijinxs for the night. Colin and Loki on the other hand woke up way too early to really care. Maybe tomorrow will come with more enthusiastic reactions.

Snow Angels

Sunday, December 2, 2012

We're not quite sure if Phillip was trying to bake or if he was making do with the lack of snow, but either way it looks like he was enjoying himself. Again, Colin spotted him right away and thought the whole thing was just silly. I think he's really getting into this!

Phillip Has Returned

Saturday, December 1, 2012

Let's change things up a bit!

It's December 1st and that means that our elf, Phillip J. Elferson has returned to the Peterson home. Since I have SO much time on my hands, I told Phillip that instead of just hiding around the house this year...go crazy! Mix things up and invite some of your friends to join in the fun. So for the next 23 days I'm going to see what Phillip can come up with to entertain a very well behaved 3 year old :)

Today Phillip arrived on a balloon. I thought for sure Colin wouldn't notice, but he sure does have a good eye when it comes to his Mickey balloon!

Hopefully this works out well and everyone enjoys checking out the hi-jinx that follows.
