Christmas Day 2013

Friday, December 27, 2013

Well, I think Christmas was a success this year.  We did run into a few issues.  Mom got sick on Christmas Eve and Colin's big gift from Santa was broken.  Luckily Santa had his elves on top of things and a few days later Colin got his art easel.  Merry Christmas from the Peterson's!

Swing Low...Day 24

Phillip made himself a pretty fancy candy cane swing last night.  Colin was more interested in knowing if he could eat the swing.

Hello My Baby, Hello My Honey...Day 23

Phillip was channeling his best Rockette moves with some of Nana's frogs.  Needless to say it was a hit with Colin.

In A Tiny Little House...Day 22

Phillip decided to go Little House on the Prairie this morning.  Colin was amazed he fit inside the house.

One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other...Day 21

Phillip thought he had found a great hiding spot, but Colin somehow found him WAY too easily!

On The Road Again...Day 20

Phillip thought he would get tricky and hitch a ride with us to Idaho to see Nana and Papa.

The Countdown Is On...Day 19

The countdown to Christmas has started.  It's going to be a long 6 days!

How Do You Spell Mischief...Day 18

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

Phillip found Colin's stash of building blocks and decided to practice spelling his name.  He did a pretty good job for an elf.  Colin's was impressed.

You Play, You Pay...Day 17

Phillip had a tough morning yesterday after he had a few drinks.  I hope the Hershey Kisses were the hair of the dog he was looking for.

Booze Day Tuesday (or Monday)...Day 16

Phillip has been having a busy month this year and decided he needed a little bit of mommy's juice.  You go elf!

Planking...Day 15

Nobody told Phillip that the planking trend was over.  How embarrassing.

Things Are Getting Pretty Tight...Day 14

Oh Phillip.  If we knew you were having a tough time we would have loaned you some money.  There was no need steeling from Colin's piggy bank!

The Candy Cane Game...Day 13

Friday, December 13, 2013

This morning Phillip had a little hide and seek game for Colin.  To both our amazement, Colin found all 6 candy canes rather quickly.  Some of them were hidden pretty good too!

Everything I Learned...Day 12

Phillip was trying to school some of Colin's toys in the complicated subject of The Petersons.  I think they are going to need more than one lesson plan!

If You Can't Play Nice...Day 11

I'm not sure what Phillip tried to do, but during the night some of Colin's action figures decided to take matters into their own hands.

Race For Your Life Phillip J....Day 10

Phillip and some of his friends decided to have a potato sack race.  Phillip was in the lead but I'm pretty sure Curious George was gaining ground!

Angry Elf...Day 9

Monday, December 9, 2013

Right now there is nothing more popular at our house than Angry Birds.  Since Phillip has seen Colin play it so many times, he decided to get in on the action himself.  Hopefully he has better aim than me.

Felix's Birthday Party

Sunday, December 8, 2013

Yesterday my friend Felix had a dinosaur birthday party.  We had so much fun.  I got my very own dinosaur tail and hat and we got to do fun things like color dinosaurs, eat dino nuggets and of course play with lots of toys.  I sure wish he lived closer so I could see him more often, but it's always fun driving with mommy to get to their house.  Thank you Felix for such a fun birthday party!

A North Pole Breakfast...Day 8

Phillip went out of his way this morning to set out a little North Pole breakfast for our family.  Colin was more concerned about Phillip falling over, but after we explained he was tired from traveling with all that food, he was just fine.  Phillip has learned that next time he will travel with frosting instead of whipped cream.  It lasts a lot longer!

Magic Candy Canes...7

Phillip shared a holiday recipe with Colin this morning.  He brought with him all the magical ingredients from the North Pole so that Colin could try and grow candy canes.  It worked!  The next morning Colin had a bunch of candy canes to eat.
